What a weekend! Sarah and Josh are married and are honeymooning in Nova Scotia. I'm mostly jealous that they will get to tour the Anne of Green Gables estate. SO JEALOUS, but happy for them!
You're probably wondering what the title of this post is all about. While I didn't exactly break my back, I'm currently laid up in bed, having a hard time getting around, and hoping Cal will get home soon to feed me. You see, in the week leading up to Josh & Sarah's wedding, my back became unbearably sore. After the wedding adrenaline left my body on Saturday night, I knew I was in trouble. But before I get into all that, let me share a few highlights from this wonderful, long-awaited weekend! All photos are iPhone. Professional pics to come later.
The day was perfect. By perfect, I mean it went as well as most weddings will go! We had our share of mishaps, but the bride and groom never knew...not sure they ever will. ;) I am so honored my own family would allow me to play such an integral part in their special day. It was a DREAM!
Back to my back... After arriving back to our hotel, I finally got to bed around 12:30. At 3:45 I woke up and could not move. My back had seized up and it took my mom and Cal's mom about an hour to get me out of bed. With the help of some meds, I was able to sleep (upright in a hotel chair). On Sunday, we made the 4.5 hour journey home. Then I went straight to the doctor. Not sure how long I'll be out of commission, but I have work this week and another wedding this weekend...so I'd better get better soon.
Aside from the back problems, this weekend was a blast!
