And just like that, Christmas came and went. Does anyone else feel that way? I love Christmas Day, don't misunderstand me, but I get sad when I wake up because this glorious day goes by so quickly. Nevertheless, it was the best Christmas ever and I'm ready for what 2016 will bring!
Christmas Eve is always at Cal's grandma's house. We all cram into her tiny living room to exchange gifts, eat Chickfila nuggets, and laugh at each other. Us younger girls wanted to include Grandma in our group photo. I think she liked it. ;)
Christmas morning was the first time I've woken up not in one of our parents' homes. Cal and I sat next to the tree to open gifts. It was a sweet time, and also a little anticlimactic...it only took us about 3 minutes to open them all. Haha. I tried to let the cats play with our trash (cause I'm a bad cat mom and didn't get them anything).
The whirlwind of Christmas Day moved to my mom and dad's house, then down the road to celebrate with Cal's parents. We ended up cooking for 27 people...it was such a full house, but I loved it. There is nothing better than filling up on yummy food with the ones you love.
Sadly, I didn't take any other blog-worthy photos. I was so immersed in family activities, I barely touched my phone all day. It was perfect!
Some of my favorite gifts (because who doesn't want to talk about their presents?) included a Soda Stream, a Keurig 2.0, ALL THE SLIPPERS, and the Harry Potter coloring book.
I hope you and your family/friends/loved ones enjoyed the holiday weekend. It was so nice to take time away from blogging and work, but I'm ready to dive back in. So many pretty rings showed up in my news feeds. Can't wait to hear from all the beautiful brides!
If you know someone who said "YES" during this holiday season, please send her my way. I would love to add her to my list of girls to pamper this year and bring her into my family of brides! CONTACT HERE.
