Thankful for Mondays

It's PI Day! I haven't had any pie yet...there is something wrong with this picture.

Well, our weekend was jammed with fun stuff (and some not so fun stuff), which made it pass by quickly. I find some peace in the busy because I know what is going on, at least. When I have nothing to do, I tend to make poor use of my time and turn into a lump on the couch. Anyone else?

This past Friday evening, our church hosted the 4th annual tea party. A ladies-only event, it's always a wonderful time of fellowship, eating great food, and giving away cool prizes. My mother in law and I have a fabulous time putting it all together each year; this year was no different.

My table theme wasn't decided on until Friday morning. My dad showed up with this sunflower wreath (thanks, ma!) and I knew it had to go on my table. Leave it up to a party planner to have copious amounts of burlap in her truck....ribbon, chargers, twine...all scraps I pulled together. It wasn't my finest moment, but it did in a pinch.

All together, we had 143 ladies and our 7 menfolk helpers. I love this little event and how it brings us all together, from ages 10 to 90.

On Saturday, my dad got a lot done on the nursery. I won't share any progress because the walls are still Kilz white, but hopefully, we'll have a nice baby color by Wednesday. As I type, Cal is working on the ceiling. I'm thankful for a husband that is supportive of my wanting to stay far away from any paint fumes. :)

My church is about to put on a brand new Easter worship experience, The Bridge. We have rehearsed over the past couple of months and will finally open on Maundy Thursday. Cal and I are in it, it's absolutely FREE, and we have 5 performances. You can find out more info HERE. I would love for you to come as my guest....especially to see Cal in action. He has 3 whole lines! ;)

Today was our monthly manager's meeting with my company's crew. We talked mission statement stuff and did a few team exercises. This was our blindfolded selfie:

This week on the blog, you'll get to meet this weekend's couple, Elyse and Chris, I'll be sharing my 18 week update, AND I have March's 5 Things post coming up on Friday. Make sure you follow me on Instagram (instagram.com/sterlingdawn) to keep up with any wedding shenanigans as I travel to Lynchburg, VA with a carload of flowers!
