This week, I have decided to share the start of our nursery project with you! My dad is using his precious vacation time to do a little sprucing and construction.
This is where the room is now:
The previous inhabitant of this room was a teenage girl. I decided not to keep the neon blue and green colors. Not really my ideal color choice for an infant, but cool if you're in high school, I guess. As the room takes shape, I'll be slowly sharing more about our colors and theme. I have a few pieces of furniture and decor that belonged to our grandparents, but that's all I'll divulge for now!
Aside from nursery news, the only other exciting thing I did this week was go maternity shopping. Let me tell you how much I dislike maternity clothes. (I love how the pants fit, even though I'm not able to wear them yet.) I am finding maternity wear is so predictable and boring...and expensive, even at the cheap stores. Maternity clothes don't go on sale like all others. I did hit up Clothes Mentor for some secondhand goods. I haven't found a single dress I'm crazy about. They all look the same to me. So, I've forced myself to buy a few pairs of pants, some tshirts, and a couple of skirts. Fortunately, this also means I haven't spent that much money.
Lastly, I am hungry all the time. STARVING. I am doing my best to stay away from junk food, but when your mother in law suggests you stop to check out the new Krispy Kreme, you don't hesitate. The donuts won. So what?!
